Below is a list of relevant funding opportunities with rolling deadlines (applications accepted ongoing) for VCS organisations. These are roughly organised by the maximum or typical size of the grant.

Millichope Foundation
A fund for the benefit of community buildings in Shropshire. The fund provides small grants to enable village halls and community centres to purchase items of equipment to help meet the needs of their local community.
Amount: Up to £500
The Shropshire Grassroots Fund
Aims to increase the availability of grant funding to build the capacity and sustainability and support for small voluntary and community groups and organisations (grassroots groups). Grants are available to small grassroots community and voluntary groups in Shropshire which have an annual turnover of less than £50,000 per annum.
Amount: Up to £500
Boost Charitable Trust
Small grants are available to charities and not-for-profit organisations with a focus on helping disabled and disadvantaged individuals in the UK to participate in sport.
Amount: Up to £750
Twemlows Fund
If your group/organisation is within 15 miles of Prees in North Shropshire, and running projects focussed on environmental improvements or community participation, this fund may be able to help.
Amount: Up to £1,000
idverde Community Grants
Applications for projects in areas where idverde operates, which includes Telford & Wrekin. Grants can be for a range of ideas, such as new planters to brighten up a community or public space, bulbs and seeds for community gardens or play equipment for a local play area. As well as practical equipment, funding can also go towards promotion and education. Annual pot is £40,000 until depleted, so earlier applications are advised.
Amount: up to £1,000
Tesco Community Grants
Grants are available to non-profit making, constituted groups and organisations for local good causes that focus on supporting children and families in the UK.
Amount:up to £1,500
The Capacity Building Fund - Get Started
Telford & Wrekin Council are offering offers small grants to support the creation of community and voluntary organisations which facilitate community self-help, create resilient communities and reduce demand on council services.
Amount: up to £2,000
Card Factory Foundation - Community Grant Fund
Grants are available to support projects and activities that benefit Card Factory colleagues and communities where Card Factory stores operate.
Amount:Discretionary, typically £2,500
The Rank Foundation - Pebbles Grants
Funding is available for charities and churches for projects that benefit UK residents in UK communities. This fund is focused on smaller charities that may not be covered by the Rank Foundation’s larger programmes.
Amount:up to £4,000
Barchester Healthcare Foundation
Offering grants of up to £5,000 for small community groups and local charities across England, Scotland, and Wales for projects that help reduce isolation and loneliness, promote group activities and generally improve mobility and quality of life for older people and adults with physical, learning, or mental disabilities.
Councillors' Pride Fund - Telford & Wrekin Council
The Councillors’ Pride Fund gives all Councillors in Telford and Wrekin the opportunity to allocate funding towards improvements or projects within their ward which help to deliver one or more of the following Council Priorities, which support the Council’s mission statement to “protect, care and invest to create a better borough: every child, young person and adult lives well in their community; everyone benefits from a thriving economy; all neighbourhoods area a great place to live; our natural environment is protected – we take a leading role in addressing the climate change emergency; a community-focused innovative council providing efficient, effective and quality services.
Amount:up to £5,000
Weinstock Fund
The trust is particularly interested in supporting charitable causes in the arts, community groups and projects, cultural and environmental causes, disability groups and charities supporting people with disabilities, educational projects, welfare causes to include hardship alleviation, and medical charities encompassing treatment, care and support.
Amount: Up to £5,000
The Capacity Building Fund - Develop:
Telford & Wrekin Council are offering larger grants to support the development of groups and projects which offer preventative, community-based services. The fund aims to help communities to build capacity, in order to empower and encourage self-help resulting in a reduction in reliance on Council and other public services. Eligible organisations who are keen to develop their organisation both in terms of increasing capacity/reach and/or providing new opportunities for communities will be able to apply for funding to assist with developing community based projects and activities.
Amount: up to £10,000
Sport England - Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund:
Grants are available to local not-for-profit groups across England in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee for projects which bring communities together and provide opportunities for people who may be less physically active.
Amount: Up to £10,000
Artemis Charitable Foundation
Grants are available for UK-registered charities operating in the UK and internationally to support projects in the areas of health, poverty, education, and the environment.
Amount: Up to £10,000
National Lottery Awards for All – England
Grants are available for charities, voluntary groups, schools and local authorities in England to carry out projects that will improve their local community.
Amount: Up to £20,000
National Lottery – Reaching Communities Fund
Offers a larger amount of funding for organisations that work with their community to help them thrive. Funds projects that work to make positive changes in their community – whether that is for people living in the same area or people with similar interests or experiences.
Amount: Over £10,000
Masonic Charitable Foundation - Children and Young People Grants
Grants for charities in England and Wales for projects that support disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people aged up to 18 years (up to 25 years for disabled young people) to overcome the barriers they face in order to achieve the best possible start in life.
Amount: Between £1,000 and £60,000
Masonic Charitable Foundation - Later Life Inclusion Grants:
Grants for local and national charities in England and Wales that are working to reduce loneliness and isolation in later life.
Amount: Between £1,000 and £60,000
Biffa Award - Community Buildings
The Biffa Award Community Buildings theme provides grants to improve community buildings such as village halls, community centres and church halls within five miles of a significant Biffa operation or within 10 miles of an active Biffa Landfill site with the aim of encouraging and enhancing community involvement.
Amount: Up to £75,000
Biffa Award - Rebuilding Biodiversity
The Biffa Award Rebuilding Biodiversity theme provides grants for conservation projects located within 15 miles of a significant Biffa Group Ltd operation or within 10 miles of a landfill site, with the aim of protecting and enhancing the environment so that it can adapt to threats such as climate change.
Amount: Up to £75,000
Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Youth Fund
Grants are available for organisations whose main purpose is working with and for young people (aged 14-25) who face complex transitions to adulthood.
Amount: Up to £90,000 over three years
Trusthouse Charitable Foundation
Grants are available for small and medium sized local charities and not-for-profit organisations in the UK with a track record of success working to address local issues in communities of extreme urban deprivation or deprived rural areas.
Amount: Up to £100,000
Motability Community Transport Grants
Anytime in the next three years, community transport organisations can apply for funding support for staff or volunteer training and costs, funding to increase the number of vehicles available in the community to help organisations support disabled people, funding local, regional, or national initiatives to increase awareness of community transport and influence its inclusion in transport strategy and policy, funding to schemes, programmes and initiatives that already exist, and who provide best practice solutions, but need further support to remain operational or scale up the service they can provide to help more disabled people.
Amount: Between £100,000 and £4 million
Pets at Home Foundation
Grants are available for charities and non-profit organisations in the UK whose main objective is the rescue and rehoming of domestic pets in the UK.
Amount: Discretionary of £250 and above
The Albert Hunt Trust
Grants are available to support small, local charities throughout the UK that: provide hospice care; provide support for the homeless; promote health and wellbeing, including providing support in the areas of physical and learning disability, physical and mental health, and social challenge and deprivation.
Amount: Discretionary
Spark Up Grant Fund
Small grants to help start up new initiatives, or new community support groups which can/ or will be delivering within their local community in Shropshire.
Amount: £50 and £300 max.
