If you are a voluntary organisation knowing what local commissioning priorities are can be helpful for forward planning in delivering services. There are many different ways in which commissioners assess needs and prioritize resources. It might be useful for you as an organisation to be aware of the commissioning priorities and how they affect your service users.
Through joining the Voluntary and Community Sector Assembly you can make sure that your organisation is connected and heard with commissioners. The VCS Assembly Board feeds key issues through to a variety of partnership bodies. For example, the VCS Assembly has seats on the Leaders Board and Health Wellbeing Board. A great way to have your say in influencing health priorities might also be through Shropshire Together and the Stakeholder Alliance. Through joining a forum you can make sure that your organisation can voice the concerns that affect your service users. The work we do also covers work on The Compact, Commissioning Frameworks and our joint Task and Finish Group.
The VCS Assembly also works closely with Shropshire’s commissioners, often working together to design and implement policies and projects.
