People may have already become aware of notices posted in a number of BT kiosks around the county, with regard to potential removal of these as operational kiosks, along with the offer to adopt the structures from BT if they are red K6s, or to adopt if they are modern style KX100s and there is a desire for them to house a defibrillator.
I would like to make local communities aware that, due to the upcoming local elections and the guidance that we follow in this regard, I have sought and gained a change in consultation date. The formal 90 day consultation with regard to the kiosks affected will now commence on 7th May and conclude on 5th August. There are 61 kiosks in total. Colleagues and myself will be in touch nearer the date, using the approach we have utilised to date, whereby we will supply a consultation listing which includes any comments made about the kiosk in previous consultations. Nobody will be surprised that many of these kiosks have indeed come up for removal before.
If there are any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me direct.
Resources including details of previous consultations continue to be available on the Shropshire Council website, using the following: https://shropshire.gov.uk/shropshire-council/bt-payphones/
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
