News from SAND

Is your organisation committed to inclusion?
Can you help to ensure LGBT+ people have a better experience of health, social care and community services?
Do you want to influence and learn more?
SAND can help!

Safe Aging No Discrimination (SAND) is working with health and social care providers and other organisations, groups and services to make pledges and sign a covenant. The Covenant includes 5 commitments and the focus on delivering an annual action plan for change. The Covenant helps clarify the actions that can be taken to become more inclusive of LGBT+ people. Working with SAND can help build a better understanding of issues, secure greater engagement and monitor changes and impact.

Afternoon Tea with SAND

Calling all LGBT+ people, our allies and anyone interested in what SAND is doing in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin to come along to The Hive on Saturday 25th September at 3pm. Finally, a chance to meet up in real life, chat and hear about what we’ve been up to. In addition, we want to talk about the kinds of things it’s useful to arrange as we get older. We’ll do a bit of ‘planning for ageing’ and we’d really like to hear about your experiences and the plans you are making.

To book a free place, click on the Eventbrite link below. You’ll find lots more information there about the day and what to expect.
