Armed Forces Covenant Survey – Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin
If you are aged over 16, live in Shropshire (including Telford & Wrekin) and have a connection to the British armed forces (regular armed forces personnel, reservists, veterans and family members), you’re invited to share your views using a short survey. The survey is designed to find out more about people within the armed forces community living in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin. It forms part of a needs assessment and will be used by the organisations supporting the Armed Forces Covenant.
Survey close: 19th July
School Holiday Activities
The summer holidays can be a mixed blessing for both children and families. Balancing work and home commitments, keeping the children active and avoiding the boredom can be difficult, this year more than any.
To help ease the stresses of the summer holidays, each year Shropshire Family Information Service (FIS) gathers information on things to do and places to go throughout the holidays.
Currently, there is a great deal of uncertainly as to what activities can be provided safely this summer. With social distancing measures in place it is difficult for organisations to plan their summer offer to families. Some are moving activities online, with many organisations running virtual events.
The Family Information Service wants to hear for any organisations who are planning on offering any type of activity for children, young people and their families during the summer holidays, whether that is safely attending in person or attending virtually. This information will then be added, for free, to an online directory. Families can find all the information they need in one place, making the summer holidays fun for all.
Information can be emailed to ShropshireFIS@shropshire.gov.uk or to find out more, please call Kate on 01743 250461
