The world around us is changing rapidly and people have more choices than ever when it comes to getting involved in a cause – be that shaping the world around them for the better, protecting the things they think are valuable or changing the things that hold us back.
NCVO is the biggest source of support for charities, community groups and social enterprises. For over a hundred years we have been working to give charities and volunteers the support they need.
We developed our current strategy back in 2014. In many ways, the country is a vastly different place now. And yet, too many voluntary organisations and volunteers still face many of the same challenges.
With a new chief executive in post and a new government about to be elected, it’s a good time to be thinking about where we want to see change, the things we’ll do to achieve that, and how we’ll go about it. It is an opportunity to listen to people across the voluntary sector, engaging those that are new to the voluntary sector or perhaps don’t feel their voices have been listened to in the past, and reflect critically on how we can support our members better.
We want to hear your views on the big questions:
- What is our vision for society?
- What are our values?
- What is the role of NCVO within the voluntary sector and in relation to volunteering?
- What activities should NCVO do in the future? What products, services and opportunities should NCVO offer members, the voluntary sector and broader civil society?
- What should NCVO stop doing?
