SAND Launching EMBRACE a culture of inclusion- 19.10.2019

SAND is delighted to invite you to the launch of our new project: EMBRACE a Culture of Inclusion, on Saturday 19th October 2019, 1.30pm – 5.00pm at The Hive in Shrewsbury

Whilst the concept of supporting local organisations to EMBRACE a Culture of Inclusion has been floating around for a while now, it is only recently that we have received funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to take this work forward, aiming to improve the experience of older and old LGBT+ people accessing health and social care in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin

The afternoon will include presentations, information, entertainment from Claire Mooney and copies of the new EMBRACE Pack.

We have already secured key note speakers:

  • Dr Jay Stewart, MBE – CEO / Co-founder of Gendered Intelligence – which provides activities, support, training and resources for the trans community and all those who work with or support trans people. • Dr Sue Westwood, Lecturer, York Law School and lead editor of: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans* Individuals Living with Dementia

We do hope that you are able to join us and please do pass this on to anyone you think might be interested.

More info and booking here (so we can make sure you get a cuppa)
