Important Reminders

Message from the Criminal Justice Forum Chair

We are entering interesting times for Criminal Justice as the government relooks at arrangements for Probation Services. From spring 2021, all offender management will be the responsibility of the National Probation Service (NPS). Each NPS region will be overseen by a Regional Probation Director with responsibility for the overall delivery and commissioning of probation services.

In addition there will be ‘innovation partners’ from either the voluntary or private sectors contracted for the direct provision of unpaid work and accredited programmes. The MoJ is also developing a ‘dynamic framework’ to commission resettlement and rehabilitation services.

Anyone interested in joining the Criminal Justice Forum please come along to a meeting on 18th September at 10.00am in the Bishops Castle Room, Shirehall, Shrewsbury.

If you are unable to attend the meeting but would like me to add your details to the mailing list and be part of a virtual group, then please email Angela Parton angela.parton@yss.org.uk
