Shropshire Street Angels

Shropshire Street Angels is a new Charity that will soon start spreading its wings in the Oswestry Area of Shropshire, before aiming to spread across the county. The charity will offer Street Angels, Club Angels and Festival Angels to help vulnerable people in the night time economy. Street Angels will also help the homeless and will make a difference in reducing the number of alcohol related crimes in the town centre nightlife.

Street Angels aims to:

  • Make Oswestry safe for people to enjoy a night out.
  • Offer a place of safety to people during the daytime.
  • Provide signposting and support.
  • Work in partnership with others including the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Oswestry Police etc.
  • Work in a non-confrontational way.

Street Angels are not all Christian people but do abide by a Christian ethos.

Can you help Street Angles find volunteers?

Street Angels are looking for volunteers to go out on a Saturday night once a month for around 6 Hours. Volunteers must be willing to undergo a DBS check and generally take love, care help and friendship out into the night time economy and beyond.
