Community Foundation – Funding Opportunities

Two grant schemes are available for VCS organisations across Shropshire. the scheme are delivered by Staffordshire Community Foundation.

#iWill is a programme supporting youth led projects, awarding grants up to £1000 to £5000 encouraging Youth Social Action. This is suitable for organisations working with young people between the ages of 10 and 20, for groups working with disabled people the age range is 10 to 25 and for organisations working to promote social action amongst young people.

Tampon Tax Community Fund
The Tampon Tax Community Fund is a programme awarding grants for organisations who support women and girls. Grants of between £5000 and £10,000 are available for up to 12 months. Applicants will need to demonstrate how they meet one or more of the following objectives:

  • Building skills and confidence, for example, supporting women and girls to learn new skills, giving them the ability to apply for new jobs and/or return to the workplace.
  • Improving health and well-being, for example, teaching women how to look after and improve their own mental or physical health and live in good health for longer.
  • Building social networks, for example, connecting women to others they can share similar experiences with, supporting them to feel less lonely, more valued, more able to pass on that support.
