Open Call For Social Inclusion Projects In The Marches LEP Area

Access to Employment Call Open in The Marches LEP Area

Grants from a minimum of £50,000 are available to run a project to provide social inclusion project(s) to support the hard to reach participants move toward and into employment in The Marches LEP area.

The groups that this Call particularly targets are:

  • People with disabilities who will require intensive and tailored support, particularly in identifying volunteering, work experience, and employment opportunities in the work place.
  • People who are 50 years old or over who have been unemployed for a long term and experience particular challenges to get back into work at a late stage in their working life.
  • Unemployed and inactive people living in areas of deprivation experience significant issues and barriers.

Projects will need to consider new innovative approaches, early intervention, tailored mentoring support and positive activities so barriers into education, training, volunteering and employment can be overcome and sustained.

All interventions should be focused on activity and beneficiaries within The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership Transition area of Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.

Applicants will need to have eligible match funding for the balance of costs, which must be from a source other than the European Union. The intervention rate in The Marches LEP Area is 60% in the Transitional area, so 40% of match funding must be provided.

Operations must be completed no later than 31 December 2019.

The deadline for applications is 27 September 2017.
