Fairness, Respect, Equality Shropshire (FRESh) runs the annual Cultural Diversity Day in Shrewsbury, which is well-established in Shropshire’s cultural calendar. This year, it will be held in the Square from 12 noon to 4pm on Saturday 22 July. It celebrates local cultural diversity. Cultural diversity of all kinds, not limited to ethnic and national diversity. It includes alternative lifestyles, disability, sexual orientation, faiths and beliefs, age and so on.
This day is about enhancing day-to-day visibility and inclusion by celebrating differences as positive; recognising and valuing the unique contributions of each. It challenges prejudice and discrimination through musical and other performances and is always lively, informative, well-attended – and fun!
It is also a great opportunity to network in a relaxed environment. This year’s event will be no exception. FRESh are inviting organisations to be part of the event by booking a stall.
Stalls are an important part of the day, giving an opportunity to tell a diverse audience who you are and highlight any recent equality and diversity, anti-discrimination, human rights and Hate Crime work you have done. There is a non-refundable stall booking fee of £20, which will help offset some of the costs of this year’s event and contribute towards future Cultural Diversity Days. Please contact us for a booking form via firstname.lastname@example.org Once we’ve received your completed booking form we will send you an invoice (if needed), and confirmation of your booking form. Closer to the date you will receive a poster for promotion, details on setting up and so forth. A table will be supplied on the day.
