Commissioning Victims Services

As you may be aware the Police and Crime Commissioner takes on the responsibility for commissioning local victim services from 1 October 2014.  In preparation, there is a need to identify existing and potential providers of victims services within the West Mercia area and across the region, which covers West Midlands, Staffordshire and Warwickshire.

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner would therefore be very grateful for your help in completing the attached template as far as you are able and returning it to Tracy Hudson ( tracy.hudson@westmercia.pnn.police.uk) by Monday 24 February 2014.

If you are aware of other colleagues or contacts who may be able to assist with this task please feel free to forward this request to them.

There are also Skills and Information Workshops which the Ministry of Justice is providing, free of charge, to providers in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector that deliver victims’ support services.  The West Mercia event is to be held in Shrewsbury on 9 April.  Details of the workshops, including a link which will be made live when registration is open for the West Mercia event, can be found at http://vcseworkshops.co.uk.
